WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS:
Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa holders can:
- Live anywhere in Australia permanently
- Work and study in Australia
- Enrol in Australia's public health care scheme, Medicare
- Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence
- Travel to and from Australia for five years
- If eligible, become an Australian citizen
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To apply for a Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa, candidates must:
- Hold an eligible visa for at least three years
- Provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for three income years out of the five years of your eligible visa. There is no minimum income requirement.
- Have complied with the conditions of the eligible visa you hold or have held

Yes, Subclass 191 Visa applicants can include their immediate family in their application.
- Family members can get included:
- when the principal applicant lodges their visa application, or
- after the principal applicant lodges their visa application, but before the Department of Home Affairs decides on the visa.
Generally, family members in your application do not need an eligible visa. However, family members must hold one if they no longer meet the standard definition of ‘member of the family unit’ and you include them in your application.
Family members included in the application must meet Australia’s health and character requirements.
