WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS:
Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) holders can:
- Live in Australia for between 9 and 15 months from the visa’s grant date
- Work and study in Australia
- Travel to and from Australia as often as desired while the visa is valid
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To apply for the Prospective Marriage Visa, candidates must:
- Be 18 years old or older
- Be in a relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen
- Have sponsorship from their prospective spouse
- Intend to marry their prospective spouse before the expiry date of the visa
- Be outside of Australia when applying for the visa
- Meet Australia’s health and character requirements
