WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS:

Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) holders can:

  • Live in Australia for between 9 and 15 months from the visa’s grant date
  • Work and study in Australia
  • Travel to and from Australia as often as desired while the visa is valid

THE REQUIREMENTS:

To apply for the Prospective Marriage Visa, candidates must:

  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Be in a relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen
  • Have sponsorship from their prospective spouse
  • Intend to marry their prospective spouse before the expiry date of the visa
  • Be outside of Australia when applying for the visa
  • Meet Australia’s health and character requirements
