The Subclass 482 visa is a temporary visa that allows visa holders to live and work in Australia for up to four years. Hong Kong passport holders may stay for up to five years.
Subclass 482 visa holders that apply under either the Short-term or Medium-term stream are eligible to apply for permanent residence (PR) if they meet the requirements. Unfortunately, those with Subclass 482 visas under the Labour Stream cannot apply for PR.
Temporary Skill Shortage visa holders can include family members in their visa application. The family members the applicant can add will depend on whether they hold a Subclass 457 or Subclass 482 at the time of application.
